Temple of Giove Anxur

It's amazing what you can accomplish here in a few hours. After driving 25-30 minutes to Terracina we paid a visit to the Temple of Giove Anxur. (Giove translated is Jove, or Jupiter.)

This is part of the wall surrounding Temple of Giove Anxur. The walls are about 10 feet high with round turrets every 50 yards.

This is part of the temple. Most of it was accessible via paths.

We managed to find a way to climb on top of the wall and walk to the first and second turret. Of the 9 turrets, several were still connected. Parts of the walls were destroyed to make way for the road. This section of the wall is shown in the 1st photo.
