WRECK
On September 12, 2002, I was involved in a motorcycle accident. Here are some photos of the damage and the great paint job by my brother, Chuck.
|
There is quite a bit of damage to the handlebars, controls, tank, front fender, horn, primary cover (not shown), derby cover, and signals. |
This dent is the result of 600+ pounds of bike landing on my left leg. My knee fits in the dent perfectly. The smaller dent is from the handlebar. |

A new tank is sanded and prepped. |
After the base coat, the flames are laid out in chalk.
|
|
After masking off the flames that will keep the original teal blue color, the silver is shot. |
Due to the lights this photo looks darker. The true color is the one above. |
|
Front and rear fenders prepped for painting.
|
Flames are laid out in small tape to view the overall design itself. This is done before it is painted to ensure a good design. It is then ready to mask off and paint. |

Here is the rear fender and tank. |
Another angle. The front fender is in the background and needs flames and paint. |
