His Name Is Jesus

Angels sang of His birth on that glorious day

To shepherds in fields where they lay

A special star shone in the sky above

The child who was God's gift of love

He grew to be a man so strong

From a wonderful child that never did wrong

He walked on water, He healed the lame

And we can too by His great name

His fame spread throughout all the land

Of this man of love and His miracle hands

Those sinless hands that caused the blind to see

Were the very hands pierced on Calvary

Though on the cross He hung in shame

I am not ashamed to bear His name

For on the third day, He defeated the grave

So that by His name, mankind could be saved

This victor sits now at God's right hand

One day He will return to judge every man

I know it's a mystery that I can't impart

He lives in Heaven and He lives in my heart

He's still performing miracles and touching lives

But now He works from within, not from outside

Call on His name and you will be saved

By the love and power of His great name.
