How do I love You, Lord?

I can count the ways

Throughout all of eternity-

For forever and a day.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in one,

The only True God-

Father, Spirit and Son.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in two,

In this life here on earth

And in eternity with You.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in three,

You move as One.

The Holy Trinity.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in four,

As far as east, north, south and west

Traveling even more.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in five,

Touch, scent, sight, hearing and taste

My sense all alive.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love You as in six,

Six days you did toil over the earth

And created all of this.

How do I love You, Lord?

I love you as in seven,

Every day of the week

My praise will raise toward Heaven.

How do I love You, Lord?

Infinitely I love you more each day.

So much more than numbers or words can ever convey.

How do I love You, Lord?

Only You can search my heart.

Seeing all of my love - each and every part.

How do I love You, Lord?

Lord, only time will allow You to see that

I will express my love throughout eternity.
