I Want To Know You, Lord
By Synthia Robinson-Pack
I want to know you, Lord, as a husband knows his wife,
Loving
her dearly, more than his own life. I want to know you, Lord, as a mother knows her son, With all of his gifts and weaknesses, each and every one.
Even though he has to piece it from finds that are strewn.
How to play them clearly, always without fail.
Always running to him for comfort when hurt or sad.
Discovering and documenting things that are unheard.
Solving complex problems correctly and fast.
I want to know you, Lord, as one knows his best friend, Always trying to advise, help, protect and defend.
Who will not turn away her face to look upon another.
Encouraging her dreams and pushing her even farther.
Trying to serve cheerfully, effectively and faster.
I want to know you, Lord, as you know me, Uninhibitedly, fully, and intimately.
