If Jesus Came To Visit Me
By Synthia Robinson-Pack
Beautifully decorated and with everything in place, Would He like what He did see, Or would tears of sorrow fall from His face?
And hear what we had to say, Would He silently depart from us, Or would He want to stay?
From front unto the back, Would He say they were very good, Or would He say they lacked?
And listen to the music I collect, Would His Spirit then rejoice, Or suffer from my neglect?
Where I daily go to work, Would He be please with the Spirit there, Or find evil ones there lurk?
And I had no time to rearrange, Would He say "Well done, my child." Or would He want me to change?
Each and every day. He see what I watch and read, What I do and what I say.
That He is by my side, But He will never leave His child, Nor will my Holy Spirit Guide.
I should act the way, That I would act if I knew, That He would visit me today.
