Lord, You Are Amazing

Lord, You are amazing.

You are the God who created the universe with your voice, yet you speak to insignificant men.

You are so large that your train filled the temple but small enough to abide within me.

You know the desires and intentions of the heart of man, even when he cannot understand himself.

You love us even when we are unable to love You, ourselves or anyone else.

You see death not as an ending, but as a beginning.

You are the only true God, yet you allow man the choice whether to serve You or not.

You judge not us not out of hatred but from the depths of Your love.

You loved mankind enough to offer Your Son as a sacrifice, even for those who would refuse Him.

You are so incredible that the more we come to know You, the more there is to know.

Your Holy Scriptures were written long ago but are always current and pertinent to each new era.

You alone defeated the enemy yet you allow your people to share the victory and reign with You.

You know all things but You still think about me.

You provide for all of our needs, even before we need anything.

Your grace, love and mercy fall upon the righteous and unrighteous daily.

You hold Yourself to Your Word, although no one else could ever hold You accountable.

You are a God of tenderness and mercy, yet one of judgment and unlimited power.

You are Jehovah God worthy of all praise and worship, but you call me "friend."

You give each of us the choice to make our own decisions, even when it goes against Your perfect will.

You are so open and honest that You reveal your spiritual battle plans to everyone, even to the enemy.

You hold the world in the palm of Your hands but still have the hairs on my head numbered.

You alone can give us life in this world and the eternal one to come.

You know each of us intimately (the weaknesses and faults within us and our sins past, present and future) but You still love us.

You allow Your people to control Your power through prayer, despite the fact that some do not pray.

You alone reveal the past, present and future unerringly through Your Word.

You love me.

Lord, You are amazing!
