Press On. Press On.

By Synthia Robinson-Pack

Press on. Press on. The time grows near when all life's work will cease,

And those who have followed Christ will enter into their peace.

But now is the time to work and to do our Holy Father's will.

We must stay busy with His work and not sit idly still.

Press on. Press on. The time grows near when the deadline surely will fall.

No more time to finish the unlimited paperwork or make those needed calls.

Time will leave a tremendous lapse in what we could have done,

Leaving a widening gap between should've and would've done.

Press on. Press on. Keep up the pace and do not fall behind.

Manage not only your time, but your will, your body, your mind.

Do not allow anyone or anything to stop you from your goals.

Work diligently for Christ with all your body, spirit and soul.

Press on. Press on. Do not despair when your body does grow weak and tired.

Just go to God and rest in Him and you will become inspired.

Your weaknesses will fade away in the Presence of His Strength,

Then you can eagerly run the endurance race along its entire length.

Press on. Press on. Do not fail for the cost is much too high.

Counting souls in eternal torment, not only human lives.

You must reach out with God's great love and tell them of His plan,

To save the lost, to heal the sick, to reach out to every man.

Press on. Press on. Don't worry about the cost to gain that is true sacrifice,

For God will eternal reward you ten times over - not just once or twice.

And when we reach the end of time and work as it has been done,

We can enjoy spending time praising Father, Spirit and Son.

Press on. Press on. It's almost time. The end is almost near.

When Jesus will return for us. He shall certainly appear.

Then no one can change a thing. Eternity will be determined then.

A future of bliss or a future of hell. One that never ends.

Press on. Press on. Until you stand before Jesus face to face,

And you can feel complete peace in that tremendous place.

Then He will say, You fought a good fight. You always gave me your best.

You have completed what I asked. Now enter into My rest.
