God, How Can I Praise You Enough?

God, You are so wonderful, kind and strong.

How can I praise you enough with my song?

God, You are eternal -without beginning or end.

How can I praise you enough with my pen.

God, You hold the wisdom that generations have sought.

How can I praise you enough with my thoughts.

God, You are purposeful, leaving nothing to chance.

How can I praise you enough with my dance.

God, You pour forth Your love upon men's hearts.

How can I praise you enough with my art?

God, You are sufficient, providing all of my needs.

How can I praise you enough with my deeds?

God, how can I praise you enough?, I ask.

"Come into My Presence and simply bask.

"Then I will teach you the praise I seek.

It will flow strongly and not be weak.

"It will flow from a purified heart.

It will be more than music or art.

"It will become more than words can say.

It will grow stronger with every day.

"Like a pebble thrown in a deep pond.

Grows more as it reaches further beyond.

"The center of where it once began.

Deep inside water or deep inside man."

God, I answered, I know You are true.

So I will praise you in all that I do.

God, You are enigmatic - soft and yet tough.

Accepting my praises that are never enough.

God, You are holy, righteous, and sure.

Taking my human attempts and making them pure.

God, how can I praise you enough?, I asked.

Go into Your holy Presence and simply relax.
